Eyebrow and Eyelash Transplant
As you age, the rate with which your hair grows also changes in many ways, for example, the hair now follicles replenish at slower rate, and the hair that do grow again can not gain the same length as it did when you were younger. This happens to the hair all over your body. The reduced growth can affect the overall supply of hair on your head as well as other part of your body. A short supply of hair is particularly noticeable when it is on the eyebrows or eyelashes where it creates unsightly look for both men and women.
Also, some people are born with a meager or absolutely no supply of hair where their eyebrows or eyelashes should have been. This is due to the hereditary and ethnic influences. The trend is more common in Asians. Finally, people may also be unable to grow their brows or lashes due to hair follicle injury, trauma, or burns. In all these cases, an eyebrow or eyelash hair transplant is the best treatment not only because is it permanent – actually the only permanent solution that is available today – but also because it is safe and needs no maintenance.
During the two-hour procedure for eyelashes, our doctor will take a very small section of hair from your donor site, which is usually the back of your head. This hair which is taken out along with its roots from the donor site is then planted under your eyelid. As you will be under local anesthesia you will have little or no feeling of pain. The result is longer, fuller and natural looking eyelashes that will stay there for the rest of your life.
If you need to have an eyebrow hair transplant, our doctor will transplant individual hair follicles using the most modern FUE technology. Additionally he may utilize the hair transplant’s dense packing or super dense packing technique as required in which up to 600 grafts can be transplanted into one set of eyebrows in a single session. But usually 200 to 300 grafts are implanted on one set of female eyebrows, and 300-400 grafts on one set of male eyebrows.
You choose any length, shape or density for your eyebrows and our doctors will make your dream come true. For example, they can create a new eyebrow in cases of non-existent or lost eyebrows, extend existing eyebrows where they need additional length to match the size of your eyes, or increase the density of eyebrow that are short of hair.
Since eyebrow and eyelash restorations are more delicate procedures and require more skill, our doctors and the surgical team work together carefully and strategically toward achieving the desired results.
