Before discussing results it is a good idea to first discuss what a hair transplant procedure is as well as what it is not. Moreover, following our transparency policy, we need to have some assumptions clearly stated. We therefore encourage our prospects to take some time clarifying themselves on some popular myths and misperceptions they may have about the procedure.

Please keep in mind that Hair Transplantation is simply moving hair from one area of the patient’s scalp to another where they are needed, therefore, it does not increase the total number of hair on the patient’s scalp, nor does it help existing hair to grow.

Only the patient’s own hair can be used in hair transplantation; they cannot be donated by someone else, nor can artificial hair be used.

Results of Hair Transplantation may vary from case to case depending on:

  • the area of the scalp to be covered
  • amount of donor hair available on the back of a patient’s scalp
  • total number of grafts a patient wants to have transplanted
  • patient’s preferred method that is used for hair transplant
  • patient’s following pre- and post-procedure instructions

Finally, the results are never visible immediately. It takes a couple of months for the initial results to appear. However, within 6 months of the procedure, you will be able to groom and comb your transplanted hair in any fashion you like. The final results of the hair transplant procedure will take

The following timeline gives a more specific estimate of gradual improvements and times they normally take to show up.

It is also important to know that normally more than 80 percent of the transplanted hairs continue to grow for the rest of your life. Also, there is no threat of loosing these hairs again because they are taken from the back of the scalp where the hairs are genetically programmed to stay throughout life.
